Hi Amy

I bought a Cat Sitter Dvd and i must say i'm pleased with the "effect" of the cat sitter video. My cats loved it, especially Ginger, he sat in front of the TV and try to catch the hamsters and the birds. he even went behind the tv to try to get them when they "went off" the screen. next he jumped on top of the speaker (i put my speakers in a straight line with the tv) so he can "eye" the front of the tv and the back of the tv at the same time.

he was so mesmerised with it and so were the others, except for samantha of course, she's always so cool about everything (except when she's hunting the other cats at night).

i was hoping that my cats would sort of be attracted to the video, i never thought they'd be so taken with it. although the cat sitter video is meant to give something for the cats to concentrate on when i'm not around at home, i dare not put it on when i'm out for fear they'd "work" on the tv and topple it along with the myriads of wires behind the tv.

after several viewings, they have learned not to sit with their noses pasted to the tv screen, they learned to sit further away, on our sofa, so they can enjoy the whole picture leisurely - they learned that up close, the parrots are just a big blob of colours...for awhile there i was afraid my cats would get to be short-sighted like me...but looks like they're okay now.

now whenever i go near the dvd player or put a dvd into it, ginger would come up to me with sort of an "expectation" expression on his face...and if the tv doesn't show the hamsters and the birds, he'd give me that patient "i'm waiting for my video" look. the younger cats would love to watch but are afraid they'd be smack by the senior cats (got to match their hiearchy you know). even the three rascals stopped playing long enough to watch!

but i noticed my cats do not recgonise fish!
